Geomorphology in Environmental Management: A New Introduction

This textbook, which has proven very popular with students as well as professionals, is now available in a revised, updated edition. The book includes completely new chapters on such topics as the applications of remote sensing imagery, monitoring sediment yield, and aeolian problems in drylands. New and recent techniques are included, and the number of photographs and case studies has been increased while the overall structure has been retained, and the emphasis on land-systems has been down graded and the geographical coverage of the case studies has been extended, especially for North America and Europe. The book will be of value not only to geomorphologists, but also to environmental managers -- particularly engineers concerned with planning, design and construction -- and to urban planners in various fields.
