Intended as the core text for first or second year courses in Canadian Politics, this book introduces students to the basic institutions and processes of Canadian government, but also places them in the appropriate social and economic context. Brooks frames the book by asking particular questions about the nature of Canadian democracy. A supplement to The Canadian Democracy, the CD details the events of the most recent Canadian Federal Election of 2004.
