Concise Atlas of the World

The Concise Atlas offers the same comprehensive coverage as its parent in a conveniently sized, affordable package. The editors sought the advice of educators and librarians from across the nation in creating the Concise, so it contains a host of easy-to-use and informative features perfect for students, including a user guide, helpful graphics on map projections, a subject index, a special 32-page U.S. map section, over sixty pages of world maps, and full-color endpapers featuring 196 national flags.
The new Fifth Edition includes an all-new sixteen-page U.S. statistical section as well as a new two-page map of the Southeast United States, from Atlanta to Key West. As in the larger Atlas, the Concise now boasts the latest Philip's vector digital lettering, the new administrative areas of Nigeria and Poland, and a thorough updating of the roads and rail lines on dozens of maps.
