Toward a Democratic Left; a Radical Program for a New Majority

In this book, Harrington presents an excellent case for the need of a united liberal-democratic movement. In it, he decries the Democrat-Dixiecrat alliance, which is an alliance which does not really work. He highlights very important issues: such as poverty in America, increasing transparency in government, setting clear goals for the nation, end to racial discrimination, and bolstering the United States' role in the world in a more dynamically positive way.
