Conversations with an Executioner

A curious twist of fate brought about a dramatic confrontation in Cell Block XI of Warsaw's Mokotów prison. From March 2 to November 11, 1949, Kazimierz Moczarski, an ex-Polish Home Army officer, was confined in the same cell with SS Police General Jurgen Stroop, the notorious liquidator of the Warsaw Ghetto.
