This book presents methods and analytical approaches that may be used in the reconstruction and understanding of how people have fed themselves in the past. The chapters on nutrition and the evidence of nutritional status on the human body or population were prepared by Antionette Brown. The chapters concerning with the identification and analysis of archeological materials related to subsistence were prepared by Elizabeth Wing. Both authors contributed to the final chapter regarding procurement patterns and dietary regimes.
