Adam's Tale

In 1975, six officers from New Scotland Yard's Drug Squad became the subject of an investigation which ended in their being suspended, charged and finally tried at the Old Bailey. Among them was Detective Constable Adam Acworth. The background to these trials -- involving a ton of cannabis and major investigations in the drug world -- raises serious questions about the means and ends in law enforcement. Most of all, though, this is Adam's tale. The tale of his fears and loyalties; of his disillusion and ultimate downfall.
