Graphical Communication: A Prelude to CAD

This introductory text is intended for use in general engineering departments and on engineering graphics courses such as engineering methods, graphic fundamentals and fundamentals of drawing. The book provides coverage of all basics concepts students need to understand in order to operate a CAD system efficiently: orthographic projection; pictorial systems; sectioning; dimensioning; tolerancing; and the elements of descriptive geometry. It serves as a bridge to actual CAD use teaching the graphics concepts needed to manipulate CAD options students begin using a CAD system.
