Understanding Engineering Systems V1

This text is the third in a series developed for use in sophomore level engineering. The primary objective is to develop a general problem solving methodology that students can use to analyze all types of engineering systems. The steps used focus more on the details of when and why certain conservation principles are applied rather than on the details of how it is done. The text is designed with an emphasis on: 1.providing strategies and conceptual tools that enhance the application of the conservation principles in analyzing various types of engineering systems 2.impart- ing an understanding of systems and their behavior using the conservation principles.
