English on Call: Level Three

A three-level IBM-PC computer software/workbook series for young adult and adult students, English On Call is designed to promote communicative competence through the use of interactive exercises in a conversational format. English On Call can be used as a core program or to supplement existing grammar materials. Each level of the English On Call program consists of a coordinated workbook and IBM disk, which can be used together or separately, depending on the goals of your course. The three workbooks and three diskettes are filled with contextualized exercises that use humor, drama, general-interest topics, and mystery to present and practice grammar. Whether you teach individuals, small groups, or large groups, English On Call will fit your style. It's easy to implement, and the student-centered approach allows learner control, active language manipulation, and the development of learning strategies. Furthermore, the workbooks may be used independently for programs without access to computers. The workbooks and software for each level of the English On Call program can be ordered together or separately. The IBM software is available in both 5 1/4 and 3 1/2 inch versions and comes in two formats - Instructor's Software, containing a site-license agreement and Student Software. The site-license version is now free with classroom adoptions of 20 or more workbooks.
