An Introduction to Data Structures with Applications (McGraw-Hill Computer Science Series)

This book is an outgrowth of notes used in a two-semester course given at the University of Saskatchewan which introduced the student to concepts and terminology used in later courses. Chapter topics include a discussion of the nature of information; string manipulation; linear data structures such as arrays, stacks, queues, etc.; storage representation of linear data structures based on linked storage allocation; description of nonlinear structures and their sequential and linked representations in storage; internal searching and sorting techniques; and a comprehensive description of external files.
