Atlas of Classical Archaeology

With photographs and illustrations the work illuminates the most important archaeological areas (to Western eyes) that evolved or were noted between 1000 BC and 500 AD. For these sites a considerable body of knowledge exists; therefore a review of the sites comprehended in the Atlas furnishes one with a thorough grounding (pun intended!) in the development of Western society.
