Sunflower Island

Once there was a river, a broad, blue river, that ran swift and strong to the sea.

And once there was a girl named Polly, who saw a sturdy old boat named Sunflower sink on that river. But as the years passed, the river...and dirt...and birds...and seeds helped create Sunflower Island out of the skeleton of the wrecked ship.

Polly watched while the river created the island, and she also saw its death, when river swept it out to sea. Her family listened to the story countless times over the years, and now you will hear it, too.
