Minerals Industry of Asean and Australia: Problems and Prospects

This provides a description of the mineral industry in ASEAN and Australia. Prepared as part of the ASEAN-Australian Joint Research Project, it is a major study of the economic relations between these countries, sponsored by the Australian government and involving researchers from each country.Included are six chapters summarizing the key features and economic role of the minerals industries in each country, with other chapters examining the impact of the minerals industry on producing countries; trade relationships between the ASEAN members and Australia; international mineral agreements; and the directions of future development.
