For a humane economic democracy

In this volume Ota Sik critiques both the Marxist and the bourgeois perspectives on economy and argues for a new perspective calling for the democratization of economy. The model Sik puts forth is a well reasoned system of democratic socialism. The Sik Model has all planning processes (consumption, investment, exports, imports, and money supply) based on democratic control yet allowing market forces and incentives to remain and giving workers decision making powers.
