Mrs. Tim carries on

Mrs. Tim must carry on during the early years of WWII. The most entertaining writing comes when Mrs. Tim deals with annoying ladies of her acquaintance--other officers' wives who are petty, lazy, snobbish and who moan about the so-far small sacrifices the war demands of them. The young houseguest Pinkie is lively and charming and a welcome addition to the series. I hope she appears in the third and fourth books. The Mrs. Tim books are perfect brain candy/comfort literature for people who'd like an easy escape from the problems of their own lives. ( Amazon customer)
