Atlas of Southeast Asia
Description:
From Library Journal\nThis is a much-needed replacement for D.G.E. Hall's out-of-print Atlas of Southeast Asia (Macmillan, 1964. 2d ed.). The maps, though somewhat small, are all new and are graphically attractive and informative. They are a useful guide to political, economic, population, and climatic data of the region and are current to the 1980s. The first two chapters provide a general overview of the region, and the succeeding chapters deal with each of the political units. The historical maps are disappointing for the specialist, but the volume is still useful for students and informed laypersons, and it is a necessary acquisition for most college and larger public libraries, which may be the only ones that can afford the $95 price tag.
