War in Britain

Based on the activities of British re-enactors, this is a colourful romp through 2000 years of invasion, defence and civil war. Beginning with the Celts and Romans, clearly laid out sections examine the hardware and strategies of warfare through the Vikings, medieval knights, to the Redcoats and Dad's Army. Illustrated throughout with colour photographs of ancient sites, weapons and re-enactors in action.
