Power house: Science activities for children

By following the instructions in this book, children from six to ten years old can make a variety of things from insects to suspension bridges. Each of the 15 activities and experiments use items found around the house and utilizes the manipulative skills and abilities of this age group. The models show children how the forces of energy are used in machines, and the book encourages them to explore ways of harnessing and using energy. This book attempts to provide a book that teaches and entertains children.
