The Value of a Homemaker

I was fortunate to have three sisters and two brothers. I would be the youngest of three or the oldest of four. Growing up would not be an ordinary experience for any of us. Yet, amazingly we persevered. I believe all of us were determined and chose to do and be better- not repeat the same mistakes. Memories of our mother gentle and loving but frail and medicated too often. Our father instilled fear for he never was taught or shown real nurturing love himself. Later, we would all understand the dynamics of both our parents and we would forgive. My dreams were to be a singer, dancer, artist and missionary-one day. I have done it all in some small capacity and on borrowed time. I would marry while a junior in high school and have a son on my husband's birthday. Then, we were young and in love and determined to defy the odds. We would have three children and achieve incredible financial success during the process. But, in the end I would be sacrificed and my husband rewarded. Divorced, appealed and annulled-I was compelled to write my first book-my story, for understanding and to make a difference . . .

Before I began the writing of this book, I was going to do a painting. I bought my canvas and a few more art supplies. But it will be after Easter, as I am having Easter at my house. So, there is much to be done. I told my tennis friends I might title this book "On Court Off Court In Court Too. But, this book took another turn when "new baby" was born. I had said, "Well maybe this will be one of the chapters." I learned a lot through tennis, the importance of perseverance even in the toughest time, the wins the losses, and all the changes and acceptance but mostly the friendships developed through the years. The humorous moments on the tennis courts that give much needed levity on court and off court too. That might be my next book. Tennis and painting seems like a healthy balance. I won't forget my love of music and dance, family and friends. We are all blessed with our gifts.

Little Cottage House: Revolution and Revelations

I learned I would have to write another book, when I thought my first book said it all. I guess the subject matter gave a little too much information that surprised those involved in some way or would or could affect the outcome if read and understood. I still write for a reason and purpose. Not just for a select few but for all to rise above situations that have held them back, unreachable to the point of unteachable. For they know it all and have more than their share and are they deserving? Then there are those who have lost so much to the point of too much. Now struggling and living in desperation. Certainly not the quality of life expected when we should have learned from mistakes made and not repeat. Instead mistakes became profitable for those who controlled the outcome through their new designer rules and laws. Our economy weakened through bad judgment and questionable practices that were never quite understood. Not temporary but for too many years never addressed. Becoming emotionally and financially draining. Always about the bottom line. No longer about the quality of life, respect or dignity or the ability to aspire for better. We need to address and correct, to really look deep into our real reason and purpose. We have been given the gift of revelation to learn and restore for the good.. Isn't it time we work together to find solutions that work for all? Know and believe. Then we can.

Bohemian Momé: A Journey of Discovery and Recovery

This would be the third book that I have written. Same as my first book, I was compelled to write about my experiences before and after. My purpose was for understanding and enlightenment to know the importance of transparency and knowledge what goes on behind the closed doors that will create a difference or the end result of business matters and every day occurrences. We live in a time of disconnect that is created for a purpose that will benefit a select few. Unfortunately, at the cost of the majority of all of us. Integrity and honor were thrown out the window years ago. Designer rules and regulations amidst shady operations joined the mix to make possible the nefarious transactions be put in place. Now all the necessities in life would become profitable for those who desire control of their own destiny at the cost of others. Knowing the importance of knowledge to build a secure foundation for life and the future for all. United we stand. Divided we will continue to struggle and fall. We can do and be better. It is time. Our children deserve a promising future. Together we can do the impossible when we understand our real purpose in this life time.
