This is a collection of 18 new hymn tunes from the creative imagination of renowned composer and hymnal editor, Carlton R. Young. He sets outstanding texts by a number of world-class hymn text writers including Shirley Erena Murray, Fred Kaan, F. Pratt Green, Heather Murray Elkins, Thomas Troeger, John Thornburg, Timothy Dudley Smith, and others (including John and Charles Wesley!). With his unabashed sense of style, jazz harmonies, and humor, Young "marries" his music to thoughtful lyrics in a way that invites congregations to add these hymns to their repertoire. Many also make excellent anthems for choirs. Each hymn is set as poetry, printed as a full score, and included in "bulletin" format.
