The second part gives biographies of the major opera composers and scenarios of over 100 popular operas, highlighting the major arias. F.W.Stockdale is the founder of Pavilion Opera, a touring company which performs in private houses and museums. Martin Dreyer, a singer and musicologist, contributes regularly to "Opera" magazine.</p>
