<p>Ruth Boettcher was stunned when her husband was assigned to a missionary post in Africa. She felt angry. But, she believed, if God called my husband, He called me too. Right? Reluctantly, dragging her feet, she reasoned that if even one person was saved by her accompanying her husband to Africa, it would be worth it. Ruth was not really sure what the coming years in Africa would mean in her life, but you will be fascinated as you join her on her journey. You will celebrate as God sustains Ruth, in spite of her anger, her fears, and her wariness, and changes and blesses the reluctant companion. Ruth Boettcher is a registered nurse who lived with her husband in Nigeria for eight years following his call to the mission field. Upon their return to the United States, Ruth has worked in dialysis, in home health care, and as a nurse advocate for senior citizens. Ruth earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Arts and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. After serving in Africa, she worked with her husband in parish ministry in the United States for thirty years. She is also a contributing author of Dreams Dawn in Africa. Upon their retirement, the Boettchers were able to return to Nigeria to visit the place they had lived and worked. They have two grown daughters.</p>
