Curated by noted architect and theorist Greg Lynn, Intricacy gathers work by artists, designers, and architects that reflects an emerging sensibility characterized by "highly complex compositions of an almost organic intricacy with macroscopic holism, coherence, and synthesis, and microscopic variation and diversity." Participants include painter Fabian Marcaccio, sculptor Tom Friedman, fashion designer Hussein Chalayan, and architects Peter Eisenman and Preston Scott Cohen.

Projects and Their Consequences presents fifteen key projects from leading architectural thinkers Reiser + Umemoto. Projects and Their Consequences traces thirty years of innovative, multidisciplinary investigations of form, structure, technique, and planning. Projects include large-scale studies of infrastructure for the East River Corridor and Hudson Yards areas in Manhattan and the Alishan Railway in Taiwan, as well as schemes for cultural institutions including the New Museum, Children's Museum of Pittsburgh, and University of Applied Arts Vienna. Also included are thought-provoking "textual projects": narrative works that blur the boundaries of art and architecture. Projects and Their Consequences balances incisive interviews and essays with more than 400 strikingly original drawings, collages, and paintings. Tschumi's Alfred Lerner Hall is a turbulent mixture of the conventional and the innovative. Its opaque, masonry-clad wings respond to the traditional materials and massing of the Columbia University campus, while its transparently clad middle develops as a spectacular multitiered system of glass ramps. Designed in collaboration with a team of engineers, including Hugh Dutton, the glass ramps and the glass wall are intersupporting. Together they form a central hub of circulation, an event space that registers the dilation and contraction of structural and social flows. In the words of Jesse Reiser, Alfred Lerner Hall 'signals a crucial turning point in Tschumi's oeuvre. While a legacy of built and unbuilt works beginning with the Manhattan Transcripts prioritized the programmatic as an irreducible condition to architecture, Lerner Hall inverts this logic, foregrounding physicality instead.'
