The subjects analyzed include criminal liability of sports participants, tort issues, intellectual property issues, health and disability issues, drug testing, and Olympic and international sports rules and regulations.The Sixth Edition of Sports Law: Cases and Materials represents an effort by the authors to trim down some of the material in the book, recognizing that the right kind of "less" is "more." Nonetheless, this edition retains the major cases and discussions of established legal doctrine. One new feature of the Sixth Edition is an annotated Web Directory which will facilitate information gathering and ease any inconvenience related to the decision to trim down some of the material in the book. For example, the NBA Standard Player Contract is readily available from the NBA Player's Association website. Collective bargaining agreements and NCAA regulations are also generally accessible off internet sites.</p>
