This book is a biographical account that reveals hitherto unknown aspects of Joan Miró's life. Lluís Permanyer is a renowned expert on Joan Miró's work and a friend of the artist. In the preface, he writes "His painting captivated me the moment I discovered it. With my first wages I bought a lithograph by him. I was introduced to him by Joan Gaspar in 1963.
