The revised Mastery of Your Anxiety and Panic Program program, (MAP II), updates and improves the previous program in numerous ways. The text of the entire Mastery of Your Anxiety and Panic II manual has been rewritten to make it easier to read and more accessible to the consumer. Additionally, new methods for providing exposure to feared sensations have been incorporated into the new manual. Finally, a separate manual titles Agoraphobia Supplement has been written to help clients for whom avoidance of fearful situations is a problem.

The revised MAP II program updates, extends and improves upon the previous program in numerous ways. Among the major changes in the revised MAP II program and the accompanying Therapists Guide are a new section on agoraphobic behavior . Clients with agoraphobia are now presented with a separate manual called the Agoraphobia Supplement. This manual integrates PCT with in vivo exposure in a manner we have discovered to be useful. Strategies for integrating a spouse or partner into exposure-based treatments are also detailed. Instructions for the therapist on administering the Agoraphobia Supplement can be found in Chapter 20 through 28. In this revised program the therapist will find instruction on administering additional to the program such as new empirically developed methods for provoking depersonalization and novel methods for handling problems that arise during cognitive therapy. Finally, the MAP II manual itself has been completely rewritten with a new and more accessible reading level to make it easier for all clients to understand.
