His is a story celebrating romance, diversity, friendship, and, yes, family— while satirizing heterosexism, hypocrisy, and just plain nastiness. The author has pledged to donate a dollar for every book sold to the Human Rights Campaign on behalf of anti-gay hate crime victims.
