This new book is designed to help Christian colleges look seriously and realistically at this important question with an eye toward action and change. With the combined experience of 125 years at Coalition member institutions, twelve scholars from a variety of disciplines thoughtfully address the issues of ethnic-minority students and faculty at Christian colleges. This 350-page collection of 10 essays includes an outline of a theology of culture and cultural diversity, a review of demographic trends, and analysis of the experience of ethnic-minority faculty and students, and a variety of practical suggestions for teaching with and for multicultural sensitivity. Mormonism Unveiled: The Life and Confession of John D. Lee, Including the Life of Brigham Young

In 1857 a wagon train of Arkansas emigrants traveling through Utah on their way to California was attacked by a group of Mormons led by John D. Lee. The murder of 120 men, women, and children is notorious to this day. Although 58 Mormon men participated in the Mountain Meadows Massacre, Lee was the only man tried for the crime. The involvement of Brigham Young is still debated almost 150 years later. Lee’s autobiography, written when he was in prison awaiting execution by the United States government, was first published in 1877. This facsimile edition is the first reprint of the entire book since 1891. It provides not only the story of the massacre but an insider’s account of the formative years of Mormonism. Active in the establishment of the church first in Missouri and later in Nauvoo, Illinois, Lee advanced in the church hierarchy to become one of the bodyguards of the prophet Joseph Smith and an “enforcer” for the secret terrorist organizations known as the Danites, Death Angels, and Blood Atoners. Mormonism Unveiled provides the best description of Brigham Young’s elevation to the presidency of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints after the assassination of Joseph Smith. It also reveals the origin of polygyny by revelation in the church and how the “sealing” of marriages facilitated this process. Lee describes in detail the beatings, robberies, castrations, assassinations, and Mormon wars with Gentiles in the Midwest that culminated in the Mountain Meadows Massacre.
This reissue includes the original publisher’s preface and a preface and introduction by Lee’s attorney, W. W. Bishop, as well as an account of Lee’s arrest and execution, transcripts of his trial, names of the assassins and accessories, an appendix on the life of Brigham Young, and a personal account by a victim of Mormon polygyny.

This is a reprint of the 1891 edition of John Doyle Lee's autobiography and story of Brigham Young and the earliest days of Mormonism, which was written after Lee's conviction for the 1857 attack on an Arkansas immigrant wagon train camped at Mountain Meadows, Utah, and originally published in 1877. Lee was the only member of the Church of Latter Day Saints to be sentenced for participation in the killing of more than 120 men, women, and children bound for California. 
In this writing, Lee described his early Church missions among "gentiles," his work with Joseph Smith and Brigham Young, and the persecutions endured by Church leaders and followers that compelled them to move West. Bitter over his conviction, Lee blamed Church leaders for the Mountain Meadows murders, calling Brigham Young "the greatest criminal of the nineteenth century."
This reissue includes the original publisher's preface and an introduction by John D. Lee's attorney, W. W. Bishop. Of interest to readers of social and religious history, the book also provides an account of Lee's arrest and execution, transcripts of his trial, and the names of others involved in the Mountain Meadows massacre.

It is estimated that, in the United States, around 20 percent of all Police-reported road crashes involve driver distraction as a contributing factor. This figure increases if other forms of inattention are considered. Evidence (reviewed in this volume) suggests that the situation is similar in other countries and that driver distraction and inattention are even more dangerous as contributing factors in crashes than drug and alcohol intoxication. Having a solid evidence-base from which to develop injury countermeasures is a cornerstone of road-safety management. This book adds to the accumulating evidence-base on driver distraction and inattention. With 24 chapters by 52 authors from more than 10 countries, it provides important new perspectives on the definition and meaning of driver distraction and inattention, the mechanisms that characterize them, the measurement of their effects, strategies for mitigating their effects, and recommendations for further research. The goal of this book is to inspire further research and countermeasure development to prevent and mitigate the potentially adverse effects of driver distraction and driver inattention, and, in doing so, to save lives.

Mormonism Unveiled is John Doyle Lee's confessional exposé of malpractices in the Mormon Church, including his own role as an assassin responsible for several murders. In chronicling his years as a member of the church, Lee discusses how he came to meet and associate with Joseph Smith: the founder and prophet of Mormonism. The processes by which the charismatic Smith drew in followers is catalogued. Personal habits, including the notorious practice of polygamy where he would take multiple wives, are mentioned. Lee himself partook enthusiastically in polygamy, taking a total of 19 wives and siring some 56 children. After Joseph Smith's death at the hands of an angry mob in 1844, Brigham Young assumed control of the Mormon Church. It was under Young that several of the most controversial schemes associated with Mormonism entailed. For his part John D. Lee became an enforcer, carrying out orders from Brigham Young in appropriating belongings of fellow Mormons, such as cattle from impoverished ranchers.
