For more than two decades, Swedish conceptual artist Patrik Karlström has surveyed the generic world of corporate imagery. Published in conjunction with Swiss Alps, his solo exhibition at Stockholms Björkholmen Gallery in January 2015, this monograph presents his collected works across a range of media: painting, photography, sculpture and installation. Karlströms goal is to subvert that which is taken for granted. In his artworks, things are rarely as they seem, and appearance and meaning are often separated. As the accompanying text by Lars O Ericsson claims, Few have more resourcefully engaged in mapping the rhetoric of power and the power of rhetoric.
