Par exemple en regardant une courbe comme un polygone d'un nombre infini de c t s chacun infiniment petit et dont le prolongement est la tangente de la courbe il est clair qu'on fait une supposition er rou e; mais l'erreur se trouve corrig e dans le calcul par l'emis sion qu'on y fait des quantit s infiniment petites. C'est ce qu'on peut faire voir ais ment dans des exemples, mais dont il serait peut - tre difficile de donner une d monstration g n rale.
