Perspectives on Poverty and Health Care is a reader of current articles designed to increase our awareness of the health care needs of underserved populations. Emphasis is placed both on understanding the poor and creating solutions to meet their needs. Case studies are presented both from the USA and other contexts where health care is practiced. Each article has questions to facilitate discussion, and group activities to increase student involvement with the issues that are raised. It is an excellent resource for health care professionals in training and can be used in a hospital setting as well.
