This work is the culmination of over forty years of study into the book of symbols referred to as The Revelation of Jesus Christ. The last twenty years of this study has been quite extensive and concentrated. The emphasizing of the parallels found in the Old Testament and in the New Testament of the symbolic writing of the prophets, of Jesus, and the apostles has been a focus. The language of this book is deliberately written in down to earth, easy to understand words and phrases avoiding the scholarly language of the elite. FOR 50 YEARS I HAVE QUESTIONED WHAT WE INHERITED FROM OUR FOREFATHERS. THESE TENETS HAD FILTERED DOWN FROM THE ROMAN CHURCH AND PROTESTANT MAIN-LINE DENOMINATIONS ALONG WITH EVANGELICALS LAZILY AND NAIVELY ACCEPTED WHAT THEY WERE SPOON-FED, AND THAT WITHOUT QUESTION. MY DAD, W. E. HANLEY, INSISTED THAT I NOT TAKE WHAT OTHERS TAUGHT BEFORE STUDYING FOR MYSELF, EVEN WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS. I DID THAT AND FOUND IT SOMEWHAT LONESOME BECAUSE THE FOLKS THAT STUDIED ONLY TO PROVE THE STATUS-QUO WOULD NOT TOLERATE QUESTIONING "WHAT THE CHURCH BELIEVES". SOME WOULD EVEN SAY, "I HAVEN'T STUDIED THAT BUT THAT CAN'T BE RIGHT!" BECAUSE OF THE FEAR OF REJECTION OR OF CAUSING ANGST TO OTHERS, I KEPT THESE THINGS TO MYSELF FOR TOO MANY YEARS. I CONTINUED TO DIG INTO THE SOURCE OF OUR BIBLE, THE CATHOLIC CANONIZATION OF THE BOOK AND FOUND SERIOUS TROUBLE WITH THE TEXT. HIDDEN IN THE TEXT OF THE BIBLE WERE CATHOLIC DOCTRINES THAT CAME TO BE TAUGHT AS TRUTH. WITHOUT REALIZING IT CORRUPTED PASSAGES WERE USED AS PROOF-TEXTS. WHEN THESE CORRUPTED PASSAGES CROSSED OTHER PASSAGES, WE WOULD HEAR, "WELL, WE WILL UNDERSTAND IT BETTER BY AND BY" AND CLOSE THEIR EARS TO ENLIGHTENMENT.  NO LONGER CAN I TOLERATE THIS SILENCE. THE TIDE OF ETERNITY IS RISING AT MY FEET AND I'M RUNNING OUT OF TIME TO GET THESE CRITICALLY IMPORTANT STUDIES TO OTHERS VIA LECTURES. I, THEREFORE, AM FORCED TO WRITE THESE THINGS IN BOOK FORM HOPING THAT OTHERS MAY HAVE A CHANCE TO READ WHAT I HAVE FOUND TO BE TRUE.
