The spiritual journey begins at the Spring Festival, launching a five-day climb into the Himalayas on a path called The Dragon's Back Ridge or known in Bhutan as Druk's Path. As journal entries unfold, stories and impressions capture the essence of the adventure. You feel the cold, the uphill climbs, the hardship of getting from sea level to over 12,000 feet. You share the vistas, taste the food, enjoy the clouds, hear the wind. You meet the people, share the temple rituals, feel the solitude. The mystery and magic can sometimes only be captured in poetry, and the magnitude can only be seen between the lines. You are transported, and perhaps even become a part of the adventure just by reaching it.
