They were labeled The Group of Six. Sky Davison and Buttons Bentley were 12. Sky's sister Kitty was 16 and her former history teacher, Dave Field, was 26. Rounding out The Group was Button's mom, Susan Bentley, and Buttons' indomitable grandfather, Dean Bentley. Trillium is a large, village-owned wildlife tract especially popular with the young people. Outside developers and the Village's pro economic development faction, led by Sky Davison's next door neighbor, Mayor Peabody, want to develop it. The odds of this spirited but out-gunned Group of Six winning this battle against the establishment appears extremely remote. ( back cover)
