<p>The Helen E. Hearne Young Adult Literary Competition through Gateway Arts Foundation will reach out and recognize students in the literary field. Applications will be accepted from students 14 – 22 years of age for a short story, 50 – 75 pages, approximately 14,000 – 21,000 words. The short story must have a Las Vegas / Nevada / or any town in Nevada theme or centralized focus to the storyline and/or character.</p>
