With this as the basis, the author tackles his chief objectives in Part II and III, beginning with heat generation and removal, core thermal and hydrodynamic design, thermodynamics, various nuclear plant types, their control, cycles, components, etc., to make the engineering treatment as complete as possible. In short, this text gives a coordinated treatment of nuclear power reactors and power plants from the point of view of physics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid flow.</p>
