<p>This is the story of one 90-year old man's Giant-Cell Arteritis told in great detail for the instruction of other GCA patients. GCA -- also known as temporal arteritis --is not life-shortening and is readily treatable but starts as an emergency requiring immediate treatment. Prolonged treatment with prednisone requires a cooperative effort of the patient and the physician. Some of my understanding of my experience may differ from that of some doctors. This is my report of my experience with GCA, including the reading of medical literature and the reading of the experiences of other GCA and PMR patients. Work with your physician and enjoy the excitement. For me, GCA has been a fun hobby from age 88 to 91 but it is now going away - going into remission. May it leave behind only lessons for others</p>

The result of months of library research, this book compiles the scientific knowledge of the gender and sex determination of humans. This includes what is known of the role of genes, hormones, and especially prescription drugs.  Originally published in a very limited way in 1978 with small exposure on the internet,  this 2008 edition has a few updating notes but the basic scientific knowledge has not changed -- only been confirmed.     The book also describes the behavior of the psychiatric profession over the last 100 years in mishandling this subject. The curing of homosexuality -- so called -- is sharply critiqued.      It is shown that the religious attitudes have equally been either ignorant or malicious with regard to homosexuality.
