Ramble House plans to publish all of the Timothy Dane novels that Ard wrote in the 50s and 60s and at the same time tackle the other detective novels by the under-rated and missed novelist.

In the introduction, Francis M. Nevins places this novel as perhaps Ard's best. Written in 1960, it features Timothy Dane, Ard's smooth lawyer/detective fighting a corrupt city about to explode.
