This is the story of Padre Juan Felipe Ortiz and his church at a crucial time in the history of New Mexico. It is also the message, ideas, and words of Fray Angélico Chávez, with the gentle assistance of his nephew Thomas E. Chávez. This is the last book by Fray Angélico Chávez, but it is the first by Chávez y Chávez.</p>
