For "just as through one man (Adam) sin entered into the world, and death through sin,” another Man (Jesus) gave His life for us, to redeem (purchase) us back from sin: "for God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life." The Bible tells us that "God is love" and that He is holy and righteous. But we also read that He is a God of justice, and that He will bring all sin to judgment on the great Day of Judgment to come: “When the Lord Jesus will be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels in flaming fire” (i.e. He comes the second time). Jesus came to Earth the first time as a humble and sacrificial servant to save you from sin; when He returns, it will be in power and glory for judgment, and to restore creation to a state of perfection – without sin, suffering and death. Only those who stand before God on that great Day righteous and blameless (i.e. not guilty of sin) will be granted eternal life with God in heaven. It is only through belief in Christ that you can be saved to eternal life, if you so choose.“Behold, now is ‘THE ACCEPTABLE TIME,’ behold, now is ‘THE DAY OF SALVATION.’” – 2 Corinthians 6:2Yes, now (today) is the day of salvation.
