Ideals which have well served human society even from the dawn of creation. On the other side, we find those attempting to co-opt patriarchal language in order to support their mistreatment and sexual exploitation of women. Neither of these concepts rightly depicts the Biblical understanding of what a patriarchal family was created to be.In this book, the author takes an exegetical approach to the topic of patriarchy by expounding key texts from Ephesians chapters 5 & 6 in order to discover what patriarchy is and what it ultimately points to. This short book searches the scriptures and church history for patriarchal principle and practice. It discovers timeless principles not just for men but for women and children as well. In the end, the goal of this book is to cause the reader not simply to ask the question "How can my family best serve my personal goals and desires", but instead to ask, "How can my family most glorify God".</p>
