World of Books - Sell Your Books Reviews
Comment: Agree with what other reviewers have said. Since becoming World of Books, they have gotten shady with what they claim as damaged. It almost always seems to be the highest value book that they decline and then keep. Will not use again.
Comment: Since Sellbackyourbooks changed over to this company, World of Books, they've become ripoff artists. Everytime they've consistently shaved off more items for supposedly being damaged. I'm extremely careful about the conditition of the items I send, as well as, how they are packed. This "damaged items" reason happening once or twice, maybe I could accept it happened during shipping, but everytime? Nope, I don't think so. My trust has been lost with this company.
Comment: I tend to not leave reviews unless I feel I have something either really positive to say, or something that I feel I need to warn others about. I've been sending this company books for months, and while most of the time I have no issues, I just had an issue that I believe it's about principle and ethics. Sometimes I send books that I'm not personally sure if they're good enough quality or slightly under, and I trust this company to be honest. So, if something is rejected of that grey area, I understand. This last batch of books, however, they said one of them was severely damaged and simply did not pay out. When I asked them about it, because the book in question was sent to them in absolute perfect condition, their only response is that they resell books, and if it's not good quality, they immediately recycle it. No pictures of proof, nothing. I've had other companies provide photos because it seems like the no brainer, ethical route to take. Not this one. So, if something HAD happened in transit, and magically only to one book, at least I could see they're not being dishonest. I ran a business for 13 years and I would never operate this way. I won't be sending them any more books, and I hope others proceed with caution if you choose to do business with them.
Comment: It's a hit or a miss. I have sent them over 75 bucks of books in mid DEC 2024 but in January there are still still no money but when I go to their website NONE of the listings were there totally wiped out emailed and nothing came no response. In January there are not many buyback vendors to choose from so I am giving them a try if it happens again, DEF NOT A VENDOR TO BE TRUSTED.
Comment: Fair price for selling my pre owned college textbooks. Easy process!
Comment: I've been trading for over ten years and I can tell you which companies are the best and who to avoid. W.O.B. is the absolute best and has become my go to trading partner. I don't need to bother wasting time even checking to see the prices on the competition. They have prepared easy to use interfast that is fast and efficient. They are honest and don't trick you. The give the best rates. I still occasionally use ecampus, sellbackyourbook, powells and textbook rush, (never EVER use booksrun) but World of books has soared above the rest recently. Even when they were ziffit they were one of my favorites but they have recently made trading even better. Very few other guys take CDS or DVDs and the ones that do have interfaces from HELL. (i shouldn't mention names but they are declutter and Eaglesaver who I stopped using). Thanks guys, please don't change. World of books is the BEST TRADER
Comment: I'm a college student and have been looking for company's that purchase college books. World of books is the company that has paid the most for the books, The best part is I received my payment so fast A++++. I recommend this company to all collage students to make extra cash.
Comment: Received my 3rd payment from World of Books. I cannot believe how easy it is to scan a few books for some additional monies. I could not be more pleased with the process and I continue to share with my family and friends on how awesome this site is.
Comment: I've been selling books to them since 2014 - and although there HAVE been some books rejected over the years, once you understand their acceptance policies, you should know what to avoid. I see a LOT of negative feedback, but honestly , I don't get it. They're very fast to pay, and buy books many other vendors won't touch (library books). I'm totally satisfied with their service.
Comment: I graduated college in 1989. Having this as an option now to sell my kids' books is AMAZING! All I had to do was download the app to my phone. EZ-PZ. I packed up the books in a box and off they went. A week later, cha-CHING!
