World of Books - Sell Your Books

Comment: I love this place! They sell books for cheaper price, and they also buy any of your unwanted books. I am really into spirituality books so I go here to look for them since Barnes & Noble don't really sell a lot.

Comment: Books with higher values are "rejected" without any evidence that the copies do not meet standards. The pattern includes brand new, unused copies. They protect themselves by immediately "recycling" the copies and refusing payment.

Comment: I had used SellBackYourBooks.com for 10 years and never had an issue, but ever since World of Books took over it has been horrid. I recently sent in an order and they rejected 3 books for "excessive damage". Now I am extremely OCD about my books, and they are all in pristine, like new condition. There is no way on this earth that they received 3 excessively damaged books from me. So either the box was damaged in transit somehow or someone at their facility damaged the books, or they are just plain lying. I wrote back to them asking for pictures of these damaged books because my books are PERFECT CONDITION, and asked what kind of damage, but they ignored my request and instead sent a form letter saying they have the right to reject whatever book for whatever reason with no explanation. I will never deal with these lying cheaters again.

Comment: For awhile after the merger they were my favorite buy back vendor. Now they reject too many books, for reasons either unknown or false. If I have another choice, I sell to a different vendor.

Comment: I'm very happy with them. I have sold them more than a thousand books. Like the other vendors here, they are facing counterfeit textbooks. These have flooded the US market by the container loads from China and are sometimes difficult to spot. I'm certain that they don't reject them out of spite. If they would sell those on Amazon, it can shut down their account for life. Please support these vendors, they are playing an important part in the used book trade.

Comment: THIS HAS TO BE THE MOST USELESS BUYBACK COMPANY. Told me my payment has been sent and it has been over three weeks and i have not recieved anything, They are just bunch of liars. Had my order rejected and told me i would get a mail from their support staff, been over two weeks and yet nothing

Comment: I just received my check in the mail for the books I sold. This site is super reliable and the whole process was a breeze. Hey college students - sell your books on this website, whether they're textbooks, college books, or any old book you have lying around... you won't regret it!

Comment: I was patiently waiting for the check to arrive in the mail. After a few weeks past the 7-14 days expected for the check, I decided to send an email to ask about it. They got back to me quickly and sent out a new check. I got this check within the expected time frame. I'm happy with how this business handled the situation so quickly. I'll definitely use this business again and recommend it to others.

Comment: User-friendly app! When I chose to sell my textbooks here instead of selling them back to the University bookstore, I also managed to declutter and sell some general fiction titles. I will return and have recommended it to my friends

Comment: Book received for about 2 months but no payment issued. I contacted the company several times; they keep promising to pay but never did and still haven't done so at this moment. Don't ever do business with them.
