Comment: I returned the book that I rented when I was finished with it. Since May when I returned it I have been getting emails that I have not retuned it. It is very frustrating since I have returned it but they are telling me that I did not return it. I would recommend not renting from them because I have not had a good experience with them. I emailed them multiple times to figure out what was going on and have never gotten any responses and this was in May/June!!
Comment: Do NOT order from Knetbooks. Horrible customer service, cannot speak to an actual person. I ordered a textbook but when it arrived, it was a code to an online class. They said "sorry for the inconvenience", but will not give a refund and no where on the order did it say it was just a code for a class. Horrible experience and now we are out of $180
Comment: They waited 5 days to tell me that they don't actually have the textbook I ordered. I had to chase the information down from them. Back customer service and operation.
Comment: Terrible experience. Their policy is to charge you the rental fee AND the cost of the book if it comes back damaged AT ALL. For me that was $213.52 for the rental cost + $374.39 for their listed cost of the book. This put me at a total of $587.91. I returned a book with a few minor stains on the side of the book. The pages were not water damaged, though I admit that there was discoloration. Because I did return it with it in this condition, however, I admit that I owed them in some capacity. My issue is this company's policy. Most policies out there deduct the amount you paid from the total amount of the book. THIS COMPANY DOES NOT DO THAT. KNOW THIS BEFORE BUYING OR RENTING FROM KNETBOOKS. For how minor of a defect my own book had, it's clear that this company has no problem refusing your return and taking more money.

Comment: The book shipped pretty quickly after placing my order and the rental fee was cheaper than other book rentals. Also like the flexible rental time frame (semester/quarter/sessions).
Comment: TAKE PHOTOS OF ALL YOUR BOOKS WHEN RECEIVED. They provide used books, which are worn, but will turn around and charge you for the book as 'unusable' upon return. Since I could not prove they sent me the book worn, I had to buy it. So remember to take pictures when you get the books in, or you'll end up buying your books anyway.
