Oecd Reviews of Foreign Direct Investment: Denmark

Examines the role of foreign direct investment in Denmark's economy and Denmark's policies towards it, taking into account regulatory developments in the European Community. Denmark's FDI laws and regulations are generally characterized by openness and non-discrimination. However, FDI in Denmark remains low relative to other OECD countries of comparable size. The Danish government has focused its efforts on improving the general conditions for investment, reducing structural barriers to market access, and making the country better known to foreign investors. Significant headway has been made in privatization, demonopolization, and competition policy.
