About the Book: Health & Light Life has been evolved under the sun. John Nash Ott started time-lapse photography as a hobby since his school days. About the Author: John Nash Ott After successful career as a banker, he turned a life time hobby of time-lapse photography into the full time career in photobiology. His more than 50 years experiment shows the affects of variation of different kind of light sources on living things. Dr Ott's pictures show that variation in the periodicity, intensity and wavelength distribution of light -energy control certain plant growth processes, such as setting of buds, opening of flowers, determination of sex and maturing of fruits. He point outs similar responses in animals and suggests how these may be brought about as the result of light entering the eyes and stimulating the retinal-hypothalamic-endocrine-system. He is author of number of technical papers.
