The influence of Confucianism on the traditional China spreads over every corner. But since the middle of 19th century, the Confucian order had started to disassembly, the central status of Confucianism started to waver. This is original reason why serious crisis occurred to Chinese Confucianism in 20th century. This book tries to explain the disassembling course of Confucianism in modern time from the historical perspective to forecast the possible effectiveness of Confucianism in the reconstruction of the modern political and social order. The matter discussed are mainly limited to political and social ideology, not involving metaphysics or cosmism to achieve clear theoretical purpose.
