International Annual Bibliography of Festschriften 2008 (Ijbf)

Particularly in the humanities and social science, festschrifts are a popular forum for discussion. "The IJBF" provides quick and easy general access to these important resources for scholars and students. The festschrifts are located in state and regional libraries and their bibliographic details are recorded. With over 1,000 festschrifts per year from 20 countries about 20,000 articles are collected. The 12,000 contributions have been catalogued by academic editors according to a system of subject headings. "The IJBF" is the only regularly published, truly international festschrift bibliography. Since 1983 over 530,000 articles from more than 24,500 festschrifts have been collected. The entries contain the following information: Honoree; Title; Author; Subject heading (in German and English); Subject field (in German, English and Italian); and, Festschrift (title, publisher, year of publication, and number of pages).
