Daily Hope: A 40 Day Devotional To Ignite Hope in Times of Despair

This 40-day devotional has been written by Archbishop Allen TD Wiggins to inspire hope in the life of the Christian.\nI believe it’s important to embrace definitions to keywords that you encounter in life that you can hold onto and help you stay focused. I have adopted this definition for the word HOPE - the expectation of better. What do you do when your expectation is no longer positive, and you can’t seem to turn the tide back in the right direction?\nI can remember pivotal times in my life feeling as if I was being attacked with hopelessness. I would ponder thoughts like: things will never change, no one really cares, why am I wanting better for someone who does not want it for themselves? Once in this state of hopelessness I realized that my life was on the path of spiraling out of control, and once again, it seemed as if I didn’t have the energy to fight against this attack and I just couldn’t help myself.\nThank God for the Holy Spirit reminding me that my hope was tied to my Savior and not to my daily situations. He reminded me that we are constantly in a battle against Satan, who wants me to believe that the worst thing I could do is EXPECT BETTER!\nContrary to deceit, I knew deep within that my expectations ignites my HOPE and fuels my FAITH! Now I understand, as a part of my daily routine, I must intentionally protect and promote my HOPE!\nIn the 40 Day Hope Devotional, Bishop Allen Wiggins invites you to take a closer look at what it means to have HOPE in times of despair. This devotional will prayerfully IGNITE your spirit to dream again and believe that nothing is too difficult for God.
