Wenzel. It was the third book published by the club. This is a commemorative edition of the original book with a new introduction by Lawrence Fox, a profile of Caroline Wenzel by Gary Kurutz and comments about being a doctor during "Gold Rush" California by Dr. Bob LaPerriere. Since 1945, the club has issued 22 books and more than 700 keepsakes. Most are in the permanent collections of the UC Davis and California State University Sacramento Libraries, the California State Library, UC Davis, and the Sacramento Public Library
